Making your own race doesn’t have to be too complex. However, if you are feeling ambitious or if you already have some experience, then Homebrewing a race is a good idea. I suggest you start out small, like with a magical item. Your first time trying it will almost always end in either an overpowered or underpowered broken disaster of an adventure. While there are definitely feats that offer a small stat boost in addition to some intriguing abilities that work well with this subclass, if core stats are low, consider foregoing feats until those stats are where they need to be for maximum efficiency as a Fighter.
